Two glass doors and multiple windows along the walls of the dining room add natural light while providing easy access and a pleasant view of their brand new deck. The natural lighting adds a feeling of comfort and solace to this open space as the stainless steel appliances add a proper contrast to the warmth of the wood cabinets, dining set and floor.
Connected to the dining room the Hadley’s enjoy a quiet work space. The family requested this first floor office so that they would not be removed from the family’s main living areas, and so they could have a clear view of the pool area. The double windows and glass door provide a full view of the backyard and pool area.
Connecting the kitchen and garage a functional and aesthetically pleasing mud room was added to preserve this immaculate kitchen whiling keep jackets, mittens, and boots organized.
There was quite a lot of concern when we decided to put a 700 foot addition (Plus a huge deck) onto our home. The concerns included having an addition that would satisfy our needs, both in terms of added space and a more “modem” feeling. We didn’t just want it to be bigger, we also wanted our home to meet and exceed the quality of the work we were seeing in newer homes. We were also quite concerned about the intrusions into our life that we knew would be inevitable. After all, there are seven members in our family and we all had to live here while the work was being done!
I can whole heartedly recommend Norbut Construction to anyone interested in building a home addition. The quality of their work is outstanding! They did exactly what they promised, and when we would ask for alterations in the original plan, they would always do whatever they could to be as accommodating as possible. The workers were always professional, neat, friendly, timely, and as unobtrusive as possible. The comfort that we now experience, as well as the complements that we always get from visitors, assure us that we made the right decision when we chose to go with Norbut Construction.
