Basement
We just want to thank you and your crew for the beautiful job you did on our basement. We can no longer call it a basement because it looks much, much better than that! It turned out just like Brad said “living room quality.” Everyone who has seen it has told us how exquisite it is including subsequent contractors (of which my father-in-law is one!) They see the quality right away.
We feel the investment has added much value to our home and has given us a new space to use in the winter months when we are mostly inside. I’m already thinking of a summer space project.
My son has had his mends over several times and it is considered the new “hang out”. My daughter has transformed her space into a school-she loves the doors Hans made for the water meter that we had painted with blackboard paint.
And speaking of Hans-as foreman on the job, he handled everything in an extremely professional manner. Hans, Brett, Nate, and Joe were prompt, courteous and neat. They couldn’t do enough and satisfied all my requests. Hans’ craftsmanship and woodworking abilities are apparent in the trim, closet and column work. He was even available when he was off-duty, when I called him at home one night in a panic, because the water was not flowing into my washing machine. He talked me through the possible reasons and eventually solved the puzzle.
I cannot thank you enough for a smooth two months of construction, and a beautiful result.

Dear Dave/Brad,
I just wanted to write to thank you for helping make our dream come true. We’ve wanted a home theater and a top quality third level (basement) for a long time.
The job you did was spectacular! The work’s got quality written all over it, and more importantly your guys always came on time, were clean and always willing to “last minute” changes.

We are writing to let you know that we were extremely happy with the construction work done on our basement this past March. We were particularly delighted with the work of the foreman, Brett. He was responsible, punctual, responsive, and professional at all times. In fact, he went above and beyond his obligation to work on our basement to help twice when our car got stuck in snow banks alongside our driveway!
In addition, we were especially pleased with the thought that went into designing extra Items, such as the string lighting along the soffits, which make the basement even better than we’d anticipated.
We would be very happy to use the services of Norbut Construction for any future work on our house, and we would be sure to request Brett to serve as the foreman for such future work.

Now that I have had a few months to enjoy the new bathroom that you and your team installed, I thought that it would be appropriate to express my thanks for a job “terrifically” done. I really appreciate the work every time I just walk past the open door.
It’s hard for me to comprehend why I lived here for twelve years before doing something about the design of the bath, but now that it’s done I am very happy with the new look in the house. I feel that the majority of my satisfaction comes from the precision and dedication of the craftsmen who completed the job.
I was particularly impressed by the qualities of Tim Skuse and everyone who assisted him in making my plan into a beautiful reality. Your people are dedicated, hardworking, extremely skilled, polite, considerate, and are 100% devoted to pleasing the customer. Also, their helpful suggestions really proved to be valuable when it difficult for me to decide on an option. Yes, everything is working great! The final product is absolutely beautiful. We were impressed with Sandy’s design skills, and the professionalism of the workers on site. It was nice to have a schedule and to have the work completed on time! I would definitely recommend Norbut Construction and I am looking forward to working with you again soon.
We were also amazed that we completed the entire process without even ever having to set foot in a Home Depot or Design showroom. That was great. I wasn’t sure how stressful this project would be given how busy we are this time of year, but it really went off with hardly any inconvenience.
Yes, we would be happy to meet Sandy at the house any day around lunch time. I can see why you want to take pictures, what an amazing transformation!

It was our dream to have a master bathroom that is not just a place to take shower quickly in the morning or use the toilet, but a place to relax and pamper ourselves after a long day. There were many things that we really wanted in our dream bathroom. We wanted to soak up to our shoulders and have a spacious shower area that can easily take two persons in case one of us needed to help the other take shower in our old ages. We also wanted the toilet to be hidden behind a wall for a little privacy within the bathroom. Needless to say it had to be warm in the winter even though the room has a beautiful, fully tiled floor.
We would like to thank everyone at Norbut Construction for making our dream come true. We were able to discuss with Brad Norbut the prospect of our project in every technical detail, including plumbing and electrical wiring, the very first day he came over to our house. We started with a loose idea of what we wanted. Thanks also to Brad we got a referral to the architect for the project, Rodney Skirment, and that really got the ball rolling during the design and planning phase.
We expected that we would be quite stressed once the actual construction started. However, we were pleasantly surprised. The workers from Norbut Construction tried their best not to disturb us and never left any mess behind when they left for the day. From the demolition, to the foundation work to the final construction and the finish work, Tim the foreman was very easy to talk to and pleasant to work with. In fact everyone, including every sub-contractor for Norbut Construction looked happy to be working on our project!
We are also grateful that Brad presented us with every alternative at the planning and design stage. Every step of the way, Brad suggested improvements that made the whole project worthwhile. For instance, the Takagi tank-less water heater is the best thing we’ve ever had. We never worry about running out of hot water even after filling up our new soak tub. Furthermore, we love the programmable floor heater. We now love to wake up on a cold morning and use the bathroom. Our floor heater even heats up the floor of the shower area, another design detail that Brad Norbut gets full credit for.
Everyone who has seen our new bathroom is envious and we are very proud to own it.

Thank you for making my recent kitchen expansion and remodel project a huge success. This was my first experience working with a building contractor. It was challenging in many ways, but you and your staff made the process go smoothly. From the beginning of the project until the end and beyond, all of my questions and concerns have been addressed to my satisfaction; you have made it clear that this is the way you do business.
When I began searching for a contractor, yours was the only proposal that contained sufficient detail to make it clear exactly what I would be getting for my money. Your proposal gave me confidence from the beginning that Norbut would be detail oriented enough to not only build my new kitchen, but to also build it properly and will all the amenities that I cared about.
I have been enjoying my new kitchen for over 6 months now and it has changed my daily routine from one that involved eating dinner out each night to almost exclusively cooking at home. I now enjoy cooking and eating in my kitchen more than eating at restaurants. Changes in my diet have led to losing over 50 pounds of excess weight. I guess you could say that the project was successful not only in improving my home, but also my health!
The end result of the project is a kitchen that I am truly proud of. It is clear that I will be calling on Norbut for future remodeling projects.

I just wanted to take a minute to let you know what a wonderful job your company did on my kitchen renovation. This was my first experience with a project this size and I was quite nervous going into the planning stages because I really had no idea where to start. I got a handful of quotes from different companies but felt Norbut Construction was the obvious choice because of a few unique reasons. From our first meeting to the end of the work I was kept up to date on every aspect of the project. I felt Norbut Construction had the best feel for what I wanted the end product to look like because Dave asked me a series of questions on our first meeting like no one else did. The Crew that was working at my house was very respectful of my daughter and I while the project was taking place. They took great care to make sure they interrupted our schedules as little as possible. They were very punctual and neat during the job. They took every precaution necessary to isolate the work area from the rest of the house. Brett and the rest of the crew have a great eye for detail and took special care to make sure every aspect of the job was carried out to my 100% satisfaction. I have already recommended Norbut Construction to friends and will definitely be calling them for my next renovation.

As I am getting more settled, my enjoyment of your efforts increases each day. That I was not yet in town during the time you were working here was a bit unnerving at first but as the work progressed your contact with me on a regular basis eased my concerns. Renovation
It had long been my wish to renovate a long time family summer cottage. Sometimes my ideas stretched to plans (some might say whimsies) of a light keepers cottage, complete with a lighthouse, of course.
Finally putting the renovation plan into motion last year, I allowed the “whimsy” some consideration. Would be a challenging project transforming what I already had into the vision I in my head. I chose Norbut Construction because you worked with me to put together a plan that had my vision as the focus.
Throughout the project all of your staff went the extra mile(s) to make my whimsy a reality. And what a reality it is. I am completely in love with the beautiful new bathroom, new porch, new entry, new deck, new dining room, new bedroom, and of course the lighthouse, so much that I am only rarely to be found anywhere else…and it’s kind of fun having family, friends, and strangers wanting to get a tour.

I just wanted to send a letter 10 tell everyone what a wonderful experience that I had with Norbut Construction.
I wanted to build a very nice place for my mother to move in with me and enjoy her remaining years in comfort and peace. Norbut made a very stressful time in our lives enjoyable. It is always very hard to make a huge change in your life but all of the employees from Norbut did everything within their power to make the process as painless as possible. The quality of work was very impressive and the team constantly inquired about details to make sure we agreed on the design and were happy with the result.
We were happily surprised that the work was done quickly without delays. The team was right on target as to the time we started and the job was completed. We were so impressed how respectful the team was of us and our home. The addition was always cleaned each day as the work was completed.
I will always be grateful to our team of workers for the kindness and care that they showed to my 86 year old mother. She loves her new “DIGGS”. I will always sing your praises and be happy to refer any new clients to you. THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!!!!

Norbut Construction built a 12×16 sun room addition to our house. We are VERY pleased. The job was laid out in detail before starting so we had a clear idea of what was entailed. (Make sure your drawings are correct, because that’s exactly how they will build it!) Throughout the project everyone was courteous, thoughtful and prompt. The workmanship is excellent. The construction foreman was very responsive to questions and requests. The crew was courteous and cleaned up the job daily. Don’t be discouraged by their youthful appearance. These guys know their stuff and are anxious be proud of. We would hire them again in a minute.

There was quite a lot of concern when we decided to put a 700 foot addition (Plus a huge deck) onto our home. The concerns included having an addition that would satisfy our needs, both in terms of added space and a more “modem” feeling. We didn’t just want it to be bigger, we also wanted our home to meet and exceed the quality of the work we were seeing in newer homes. We were also quite concerned about the intrusions into our life that we knew would be inevitable. After all, there are seven members in our family and we all had to live here while the work was being done!
I can whole heartedly recommend Norbut Construction to anyone interested in building a home addition. The quality of their work is outstanding! They did exactly what they promised, and when we would ask for alterations in the original plan, they would always do whatever they could to be as accommodating as possible. The workers were always professional, neat, friendly, timely, and as unobtrusive as possible. Jim and I want to thank you and the rest of the Norbut Construction team for a wonderful finished project. The quality of construction is excellent (the local building inspector has been very impressed), the job site has been clean and orderly and it was completed on budget and on time! But we cannot ignore the quality of employees you sent to work on our addition. Brett, Doug and Tim have been stellar examples of what every home owner wishes to have working on their home.
